Western Dubuque dancers win big during virtual awards ceremony

EPWORTH, Iowa – The Iowa State Dance & Drill Team Association competition was was held recently without much of the fanfare of past years due to the pandemic. But it was still exciting for Western Dubuque dancers who were recognized with multiple state championship awards during the virtual ceremony Saturday. This is the second consecutive year that the dancers have won state championship awards. The team also was recognized with an academic achievement award for having a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5, according to a press release. Congrats girls!
