UPDATE – New details released about fatal head-on crash in Prairie du Chien

UPDATE – PRAIRIE DU CHIEN, Wis. — Authorities released more details Tuesday about the cause of a fatal head-on crash Sunday in the Prairie du Chien area. Witnesses reported that an eastbound SUV crossed the centerline for unknown reasons on U.S. 18, and collided with a westbound truck. Both drivers were killed in the wreck. A woman and two young children who were passengers in the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to the release. The crash closed the highway for about four and a half hours. The incident remains under investigation.
