Three more COVID-deaths reported Thursday in area Iowa counties

Three more COVID-19-related deaths were reported Thursday in area Iowa counties. Dubuque County added one new death between 11 a.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. Thursday, bringing its total to 94. Both Jackson and Clayton counties also added one new death each, bringing their respective death tolls to 14 and nine. An additional 87 cases of COVID-19 in Dubuque County were confirmed between Wednesday Thursday, moving the county’s total to over 9,430. The state continues to report on outbreaks at 14 long-term-care facilities in this five-county region.


More than 2,870 new cases were confirmed statewide from Wednesday to Thursday, pushing the total to over 236,790. 70 also died in the same time period, bring the state’s death toll to over 2,500.
