“Mask Up!” could soon be the message for Delaware County residents

MANCHESTER, Iowa – Delaware County is considering implementing a mask mandate in an effort to manage the rising number of COVID-19 cases. Public health officials are urging county supervisors to pass a countywide mask mandate, but some elected officials are in opposition, calling the safety measure government overreach, as more than 1,460 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported in Delaware County in Wednesday’s update. Delaware County law enforcement officials said if approved the department would remind everyone to mask up and be safe.
