Maquoketa shuts down City Hall

MAQUOKETA, Iowa – A surge in confirmed cases of COVID-19 has prompted Maquoketa “Ma-KWO-Keeta” officials to again close City Hall to the public. The city announced the move Wednesday afternoon, saying the measure would be in place “until the increase in COVID-19 infections begins to decline.” City Hall will remain open during its normal business hours, and appointments can be made if there is a need for a face-to-face meeting with city staff, a press release states.
