Manchester man accepted a plea deal in a weapons case

MANCHESTER, Iowa – A Manchester man accepted a plea deal in a weapons case. Michael T. Short, 55, recently was sentenced to two years probation for allegedly pointing a gun at another man, and then trying to get witnesses to lie about the March 13 incident, court documents state. He pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment, down from the original charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
