Iowa’s COVID-19 safety measures will be extended

Iowa’s COVID-19 safety measures will be extended to Dec. 16. Gov. Kim Reynolds announced at a press conference Wednesday that all organized sports and recreational activities will require a two-spectator limit, including at some school sporting events. Last call at establishments serving alcohol will be 10 p.m. for in-person service. All other previously announced measures, such as limits on gatherings, will continue to remain in effect. The mitigation measures were set to expire today, Dec. 10, before Reynolds announced the extension amid climbing COVID cases.
