Iowa Hits Grim COVID Milestone

Iowa has now passed the 200,000 mark of COVID-19 cases since March.

Gov. Kim Reynolds announced on Friday an initiative beginning next week to recruit more nurses and other critical health care workers to come to the state.

Despite a one-day increase of more than 4,300 cases and a positivity rate of more than 40 percent, Reynolds said there are no plans to set up field hospitals, simply because the state does not have adequate resources to staff them.
