Fewer Iowans are heading home for the holiday

(KCRG) – Fewer Iowans are heading home for the holiday this year. Eastern Iowa Airport officials said passenger travel for 2020 is down by 53% compared to last year. Airport leaders say they aren’t expecting to see any holiday boost because of COVID-19. There are fewer people flying out, or paying to park, or eating before a flight, and airport officis say that’s impacting the airlines, and the concessionaires. AAA is also expecting a drop in holiday travel this year due to COVID-19.
