Dubuque Woman Facing Theft, Forgery Charges

A Dubuque woman was arrested on Friday, charged with the theft of more than $17,000 from a Dubuque couple last year through forged checks.

50-year old Victoria K. Conrad was arrested on a warrant charging her with first-degree theft and eight counts of forgery.

Officers were notified in November 2019 by a Dupaco fraud specialist that she had cashed three large checks belonging to someone else. Security footage showed Conrad cashing the checks at Dubuque Dupaco locations.

The victims told officers they had other checks stolen and cashed with their forged signatures for a total of $17,075.
