Dubuque teen who pulled knife on roommates for not partying facing charges

A Dubuque teen is facing charges for allegedly threatening to kill his roommates when they refused to party with him. Jeremias Matom-Corio pleaded guilty to the Aug. 12 incident last week in which his three roomies told police the 19 year old became upset when they wouldn’t drink alcohol with him, according to reports released Monday. The teen is charged with three counts of assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and two counts of carrying weapons, for which he will serve consecutive 90-day sentences for each of the five charges. He was being held at the Dubuque County Jail, documents state.
