Dubuque man convicted of dealing drugs near Loras College was sentenced

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) -A Dubuque man who officials say sold drugs out of his home near Loras College was sentenced to more than four years in prison Tuesday. In a news release, officials said 40-year-old Virgil Lee Hubbard pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute near a protected location. Law enforcement also found a firearm at his residence. Additionally, the 40 year old was convicted of distributing heroin within 1,000 feet of an Iowa park.
