Dubuque Community Schools students getting an extra break for holidays

Dubuque Community Schools students are getting an extra break for the holidays. The district announced in a press release Thursday that all students will shift to remote learning for one week between Monday, November 30th and Friday December 4th. Officials say it is not due to a spread of COVID-19 in buildings but will provide a 12-day break from in-person instruction and 10 days post-Thanksgiving, according to the release. Fully online students will continue instruction on these days as scheduled. The district expects to return to hybrid learning on Monday, Dec. 7.
