COVID cases are continuing to climb in the county. There were four additional COVID-19-related deaths in the five area Iowa counties confirmed between 11 a.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday. Two deaths were reported for Clayton County in that time span, while one each was recorded for Dubuque and Jones counties, moving Clayton’s death toll to 27, while Dubuque County now stands at 126 COVID fatalities, and Jones County is at more than 30. And, 29 additional cases of COVID-19 confirmed in Dubuque County during that 24-hour period, increases the total to over 10,000.


The state is now reporting outbreaks at eight long-term-care facilities in the five-county region.
