Clayton County insurance agent under scrutiny

GARNAVILLO, Iowa – State regulators have revoked the license of an insurance agent in Clayton County. Brenda Murray also was ordered to pay $18,000 in civil penalties, according to a press release from the Iowa Insurance Division. Murray allegedly targted eldery consumers and is accused of misrepresenting the benefits, terms and disadvantages of certain insurance policies, the release states. She also is accused of pushing clients to make ill advised transactions.
