City of Dubuque ringing in 2021 with new line of buses

DUBUQUE, Iowa (KCRG) – The City of Dubuque is ringing in 2021 with a new line of buses. The Gillig buses will replace older models and include a few new features. The city says the biggest upgrade is a ramp to make it easier for people with mobility issues to get on and off the bus, and also noted a rear entrance that will make it easier to social distance with the driver as riders get on and off. The city says the new nearly $400,000 fleet of four buses will be on the roads sometime early next year.
