Bridge Near Finley’s Landing to be Replaced

The old suspension bridge near Finley’s Landing is in the process of being replaced.

After being washed out due to flooding several times over the past decade, conservation board Executive Director Brian Preston told the Telegraph-Herald the old bridge was no longer able to be repaired.

The new one will be higher above the water and further up Basswood Creek. The different location will give better access to the 85 acres around Finley’s Landing, which is open for public hunting and has a number of trails.
